The legendary L’Interdit fragrance of 1957 was originally created at Hubert de Givenchy only for his friend and muse Audrey Hepburn. When the couturier decided to commercialize it, the actress ironically replied “Je vous l’interdis!” (“I forbid it!”) And from this famous phrase the name of the fragrance was born.
Today, a few months after the death of its creator, Hubert de Givenchy, the maîtres-parfumeurs Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Fanny Bal present a renewed version, but still full of contrasts, not to betray the original DNA: an eau de parfum with a white floral bouquet composed of orange, jasmine and tuberose flowers, contrasted by the dark earthy notes of vetiver and patchouli. The 2018 bottle design is a clear tribute to the original bottle of 1957: sober, characterized by a square shape with rounded sides, simple and profoundly feminine, it also features an elegant clear seal that fixes the contrasting grosgrain ribbon and the sparkling logo of the 4G.
